ANNAPOLIS, Md. (October 5, 2025) – Howard University junior golfer
Paris Fieldings (Chesapeake, Va.) put on a showing in Annapolis, Md., winning the 2025 Navy Fall Invitational with a one-under par (143) performance. The two-day, 36-hole tourney took place at the U.S. Navy Academy Golf Club (par-72, 6,084 yards).
After shooting even par (72) in the opening round, the reigning NEC Player of the Year followed up with a 71 (-1) in round two.
Collectively, the Bison shot 29-over par (605) with all golfers placing in the top 25.
Second-year Bison
Laniah Moffett (Waterbury, Conn.) competed as an individual, tying for 11
th place on the player leaderboard.
Rookie
Mia Melendez (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and All-NEC selection senior
Morgan Horrell (Dallas) tied for 16
th overall after firing 11-over par (155).
Sophomore
Lena Durette (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and reigning NEC Golfer of the Month senior
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) rounded out the Bison, tying for 22
nd place (156, +12).
Stetson won the team award (597, +21), led by Filippa Jansson, who finished one stroke behind Fieldings (144, E).
The Bison are set to participate in the Red Flash Invitational (Oct. 20-21).
