JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (October 21, 2025) – Howard University women's golf team ended its fall slate with a runner-up finish at the Red Flash Invite, hosted by Saint Francis in Johnstown, Pa. The 36 hole event took place at Sunnehanna Country Club (par-72, 5,972 yards).
Collectively, HU shot 32-over par (608) with all five Bison placing in the top 25.
Senior
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) led the charge, firing 6-over par (150) in 36 holes of action.
Fellow classmate
Morgan Horrell (Dallas) took seventh place, shooting 8-over par (152).
Sophomore
Lena Durette (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and rookie
Mia Melendez (Ann Arbor, Mich.) finished 14
th (155, +11) and 15
th (156, +12), respectively, while second-year Bison
Laniah Moffett (Waterbury, Conn.) rounded out HU with a 15-over par (159) performance, which tied for 25
th place.
Bucknell won the 2025 Red Flash Invitational, firing nine strokes better than the Bison (599, +23).
Duquesne's Sasha Petrochko and Towson's
Victoriah Kuranga shared the individual crown after registering 4-over par (148) each.
HU wraps up the fall season and prepares for the 2026 spring.
