Cathrina Morris (Auburndale, Fla.) and senior
Noah Langford (Portsmouth, Va.) highlighted the Howard University track & field program at the Tom Jones Memorial Invite, hosted by the University of Florida. The two-day meet (April 12-13) took place at James G. Pressly Stadium on the Percy Beard Track in Gainesville, Fla.
The duo led Bison Nation with a pair of second-place finishes. Morris claimed silver in the 100-meter hurdles with a 13.45 mark while the Virginia native took runner-up in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking in at 51.14.
Graduate
Ayoade Adebiyi (Virginia Beach, Va.) competed in the 3K steeplechase where he earned fifth overall (9:27.11) while second-year Bison
Zoe Turner (Mableton, Ga.) found success in the 400-meter dash, placing seventh (54.46).
In the field, fifth-year Bison
Erin Hatcher (Silver Spring, Md.) took part in the women's hammer throw, tossing over 173 feet (52.80 meters).
On the men's side, junior
Kyle Fisher (Duluth, Ga.) participated in the long jump (7.12 meters) and triple jump (14.60 meters).
HU travels up the Beltway for a pair of meets in Baltimore: Morgan Legacy (April 19-20) and Loyola-Hopkins Invitational (April 20).
