TOWSON, Md., AUSTIN, Texas & RALEIGH, N.C. (March 30, 2024) – Howard University men's track & field team competed in three events across three states during Easter Weekend: Towson Invitational (March 29); Raleigh Relays (March 28-30) and Texas Relays (March 27-30).
TOWSON INVITE
Graduate
Ayoade Adebiyi (Virginia Beach, Va.) headlined the weekend for HU, winning the 1500-meter run with a 4:00.38 mark. Redshirt junior
Wendesen King (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) also competed in the race, clocking in at 4:09.35 (fifth place).
In the field, sophomore
Andre Prince (Windsor, Conn.) represented Bison Nation in the discus and hammer, placing 11
th (37.57 meters) and seventh (47.92 meters), respectively.
TEXAS RELAYS
In the Lone Star State, graduate
Samuel Bennett (Langdon Hills, United Kingdom) finished runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles with a 13.39 time, which ranks second all-time in school history.
In the field, third-year Bison
Kyle Fisher (Duluth, Ga.) landed third in the triple jump after leaping over 50 feet (15.40 meters), which sits third all-time in program history.
RALEIGH RELAYS
Rookie
Jordan Good (Greensboro, N.C.) returned to his home state where he recorded a 1:52.42 time in the 800-meter run.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On April 6, Howard stays in The District for the annual Bison Classic, co-hosted by HU and Gallaudet. The action starts at 9:30 a.m.
