Women’s Golf Earns 11th at the Tulane Classic

Texas natives lead the way

NEW ORLEANS (March 12, 2024) – Howard University women's golf team earned 11th overall at the annual Tulane Classic, presented by Chad Brownstein. The three-round event took place at the English Turn Golf & Country Club.
 
Overall, HU shot 53-over par (917).
 
Junior Kendall Jackson (Pearland, Texas) led the way, recording 9-over par (225) in three rounds. In round two, the Texas native shot even par (72).
 
Second-year Bison Morgan Horrell (Dallas) finished one stroke behind Jackson (226, +10), registering back-to-back 3-over par (75) performances in round one and two.
 
Colorado State won the 2024 Tulane Classic, producing an 882 (+18). Cal Poly finished runner-up, one stroke behind the Buffalos (883, +19).
 
Missouri's Fleur van Beech took home the individual medal after shooting 3-under par (213), two strokes better than Notre Dame's Lauren Beaudreau (215, -1).
 
On April 2-3, Howard goes to Katy, Texas for the National Women's Collegiate Championship.
