Janyah Bohanon (Cleveland) came off the bench to score 14 points, but it was not enough as the Bison fell, 70-64, in overtime to North Carolina Central (NCCU) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) game at Burr Gymnasium.

Tyana Walker (Leawood, Kan.) chipped in with 10 points as no other Howard player reached double figures.

Vanessa Blake (Summerville, S.C.) just missed a double-double (10 points & nine boards) to lead the Bison to a 70-46 win over SCSU in a MEAC game inside the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Gymnasium.
Fifth-year guard
Iyanna Warren (Accokeek, Md.) finished with seven points, four assists and three steals.
The Bulldogs were led by Morgan Beacham and Jordan Releford, who had 10 points and nine points, respectively.

Howard (8-14, 5-3 MEAC) is led by Warren (11.2 ppg, 2.8 rpg, team-high 63 total assists, 28 total steals & 80-percent from the free throw line), Walker (11.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, team-leading 39 three pointers made & 85-percent from the free throw line), Miller (7.1 ppg, 6.9 rpg, team-leading 21 total blocks & 48 total steals), Blake (6.8 ppg & 4.9 rpg) and senior forward

SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
SCSU (1-22, 0-8 MEAC), which is coming off an 87-25 loss to Norfolk State Saturday (Feb. 17), is still looking for its first conference win. South Carolina State has lost 15 in a row and have no players in double figures, reaching 60 points only twice during the current streak.
The Bulldogs are led by senior forward Cassandra Colon (5.7 ppg, team-leading 20 three pointers made) and Beachman (7.9 ppg, team-leading 47 total assists, 32 total steals & 12 total blocks) and Releford (8.2 ppg & 2.4 rpg).
MEAC STATS
HOWARD
The Bison lead the MEAC in field goal percentage defense (35-percent) and second in defense (allowing 59 points per game).
Individually, Walker is ninth in scoring and eighth in three-point shooting (32 percent).
Miller is third in steals, fourth in rebounding and fifth in blocks.
Creek is fifth in three-point shooting (36-percent) and Harris is fifth in assists.
SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
SCSU is second in the MEAC in free throw shooting (70-percent) and fourth in blocked shots (3.0).
BISON NOTES
- Miller's 20 rebounds versus NCCU (Feb. 17) are the second-most in a game since Darlene Beale-Norris grabbed 25 (1987). She is also a favorite for MEAC Defensive Player of the Year. There has only been one to receiver that honor: Shannon Carlisle (2006-07).
