WASHINGTON (February 16, 2024) - Howard University women's bowling will roll into action as they will travel to Norfolk, Va., for the second Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) meet of the season.
Â
LAST TIMEOUT
Â
After a few weeks off, the Lady Bison were in Mount Joy, Pa., where they took 13
th place in the 2024 Mount Shootout.
Â
Second-year Bison
Sydney Allison (Ypsilanti, Mich.) led the way, rolling 193.4 in five contests, including a 247 in the victory over Bryant.
Â
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
Â
Coming off their best weekend of the season at the annual Mount Shootout, they look to carry that momentum into this weekend.
Â
In this second conference stand-off, Howard will be fighting for a tournament spot. After finishing seventh in first tournament, the Lady Bison will look to move up in rankings and stay out of a possible play-in game.
Â
With the likes of No. 4 North Carolina A&T State (NCAT), No. 14 Maryland Eastern Shore and No. 22 Delaware State finishing in the top 25 national coaches rankings, Howard will look to move out of that seventh spot to get a more favorable early round matchup.
Â
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Â
On Feb. 23-25, Howard will take the trip to Greensboro, N.C., for the Stallings Invitational, hosted by NCAT.
