NORFOLK, Va. (March 21, 2026) – The MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) uncovered its 2026 Women's Bowling All-Academic Team where Howard University saw six Bison acknowledged for their success off the lanes. The announcement came Saturday morning.
To be eligible, MEAC sophomores, juniors and seniors must hold a cumulative 3.0 grade point average or higher. Transfer student-athletes must have at least one year of residence at their respective institutions to be eligible.
This year's recipients included
Sydney Allison (Ypsilanti, Mich.),
Simone Ashford (Chicago),
Jewel Johnson (Harrisburg, Pa.),
Janae Pugh (Chicago),
Cameren Sullivan (Chicago) and
Kira Taylor (Hockley, Texas).
Collectively, the league honored 40 student-athletes from its eight bowling-playing institutions for their outstanding academic achievements.
Saturday (March 21), HU looks to stay alive against rival Morgan State in the MEAC Tournament. Match time is slated for 9 a.m., in Greensboro, N.C.
