GREENWOOD, Ind. (November 19, 2024) – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Committee disclosed its 2024 Men's & Women's All-District Teams where Howard University had five Bison acknowledged for their hard work and dedication off the field. The announcement came Tuesday.
Seniors
Bryson Baker (Ellicott City, Md.),
Melea Earley (La Mirada, Calif.) and
Zoe Moore (Lutz, Fla.), redshirt junior
Rachel Suttle (Smyrna, Ga.) and sophomore
Samantha James (Herndon, Va.) made the rosters.
Baker, a chemistry major with a 3.71 grade-point-average (GPA), wrapped up his final season with 11 points (seven assists & two goals) while earning a spot on the All-NEC Second Team.
On the women's side, Earley and Moore each made the All-NEC Second Team. In the classroom, Earley accumulated a 3.62 GPA while majoring interdisciplinary studies and Moore produced a 3.97 GPA in leisure studies.
Suttle, the 2024 NEC (Northeast Conference) Defensive Player of the Year, posted a 3.85 GPA in management while James, the 2024 NEC Midfielder of the Year, registered a 3.87 GPA in chemical engineering.
The 2024 Academic Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Entering the 2025 campaign, women's soccer head coach
