WASHINGTON (October 24, 2024) - Howard University women's bowling team heads to Midlothian, Va., for the Virginia Union Invitational, hosted by the Panthers. The three-day event (Oct. 25-27) takes place at Bowl America Southwest (11532 Hull Street Rd N, Midlothian, VA 23112).

At the Bud Whitman Memorial (Oct. 12-13), the squad finished 10^th overall after moving up three spots.
 
Sophomore Simone Ashford (Chicago) led the team with a team-leading 923 total pinfalls.
 
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
 
After a week off, the Bison are excited to represent Howard University in this prestigious event.
 
This week's focus is continuing to climb the ladder in rankings.
 
The team will see other conference opponents, including Coppin State and Norfolk State at this tournament.
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
 
On Nov. 9-10, the Bison roll down to Greensboro, N.C., for a conference meet, hosted by North Carolina A&T State.
