WASHINGTON (January 18, 2024) – Howard University women's bowling team resumes play at the annual Northeast Classic, hosted by No. 17 Sacred Heart. The three-day tournament (Jan. 19-21) takes place in New Castle, Del.

On Nov. 18-19, HU placed 10th overall at the CSU Lady Eagles Invitational, hosted by conference rival Coppin State.
Second-year Bison
Cameren Sullivan (Chicago) and
Sydney Allison (Ypsilanti, Mich.) led the way, both finishing in the top 25. Sullivan recorded 840 total pinfalls in five traditional matches while Allison registered 829 pin knockdowns.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
Throughout its history, the Northeast Classic has hosted some of the top programs in the country, including several NCAA National Champions: FDU (two-time); McKendree (2017); Nebraska (six-time); Sam Houston (2014) and Vanderbilt (three-time; reigning champion).
This season, HU rolls into the weekend with a 12-25 mark (7-16 Baker Games & 5-9 Traditional Matches).
Sullivan leads the Bison, averaging 178.2 in 15 traditional matches. On Nov. 4, she recorded a season-high 209 at the Virginia Union Invitational while guiding the club to a fourth-place finish.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Feb. 9-11, the Bison travel to Mount Joy, Pa., for the annual Mount Shootout, hosted by Mount St. Mary's.
