Pair of Bison set to speak at USA Basketball Women in the Game conference

WASHINGTON (September 7, 2023) - Howard University women's basketball head coach Ty Grace and sports psychotherapist Dr. Lisa Daniels will be among a group of administrators from around the country, speaking at the USA Basketball Women in the Game conference Saturday, Sept. 16, at the MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

Launched in 2017, the USA Basketball Women in the Game conference educates high school girls, college women and young professionals on career paths in the sports industry and how to turn their passion into opportunity. Guest presenters from a variety of fields will share their personal career journeys, discuss the essential characteristics to succeed in their roles and provide practical strategies to get started and sustain success in the highly competitive sports industry.

Grace, entering her ninth season at The Mecca, has guided the Lady Bison to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championship game in three consecutive years. The New York native is a highly sought-after speaker off the court, frequently speaking at conferences and events across the country.

Daniels is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dynamic Performance Interventions, LLC, in addition to serving as the sports psychotherapist for Howard University Athletics. She works with student-athletes, coaches and performers in other settings (e.g. administrators, and business executives) in high-stake environments.

The USA Basketball Foundation will sponsor 30 registration grants for local women to attend the Women in the Game conference.
