TAMPA, Fla. (December 3, 2023) – Howard University graduate offensive lineman
Anim Dankwah (Accra, Ghana) accepted an invite to the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl. The announcement came Saturday (Dec. 2) via Twitter.
Before the season, Dankwah was named to the East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 after having a stellar 2022 campaign.
Dankwah earned a spot on the All-MEAC First Team after anchoring the conference's top offense, averaging nearly 384 yards per game.
The East-West Shrine Bowl is a best-in-class all-star event that will take place at the Dallas Cowboys Facility in Frisco, Texas on Feb. 1, 2024. Players who are selected will be coached by NFL coaches, in an NFL facility, and will have access to NFL-level resources, facilities, player-friendly schedules and opportunities at the highest level.
The East West Shrine Bowl is also the longest-running college all-star football game in the nation, having started in 1925.
On Dec. 16, Howard plays its final game of the 2023 campaign at the Cricket Celebration Bowl in Atlanta where they will face the Southwestern Athletic Conference Champion No. 5 Florida A&M. Kickoff is scheduled for noon on ABC.
