WASHINGTON (October 6, 2023) - In order to get to know the team a bit better, Howard University women's basketball sat down with its student-athletes and asked a series of questions to each class about themselves, life, their interests and more!
Introducing Aaliyah Frazier, a freshman point guard from Plainfield, Ill.
Q: What made you choose Howard?
A: It is a HBCU and I like the culture and style of play of the basketball team.
Q: What are you most looking forward to about college life?
A: I am looking forward to learning and growing.
Q: Are there any Howard traditions or events that you are excited to participate in?
A: I cannot wait to see the step shows on the yard.
Q: How do you imagine balancing your social life with your academic and athletic commitments?
A: I know that it is a process, but I already do a pretty good job of having my priorities straight.
Q: What's the best advice a coach has given you?
A: The best advice a coach has given me is do not try to be the best, just be the best version of yourself.
Q: What three words best describe you?
A: Three words that describe me are creative, talented and ambitious.
Q: What three things you would like to accomplish during your freshman year?
A: I want to keep all my grades higher than a C, start modeling for local upcoming brands and maintain positive energy throughout the year.
Q: What's your idea of fun?
A: My idea of fun is when family and friends get together and we all have one big conversation about conspiracy theories or recent events that has been happening.
Q: What TV show are you currently binge-watching? 📺
A: Currently, I am binge-watching Rick and Morty.
Q: What is the most irrational superstition you have?
A: If you step on the back of somebody's shoe you have to tap them three times or else, they'll have bad luck.
Q: If money were no object, what would you do? 💰
A: I would go to Uncle Remus and order five pans of chicken (lol).
Q: What is the most fascinating fact you know?
A: The most fascinating fact is that spiders crawl in your mouth when you sleep.
Q: Should pineapple go on pizza?
A: I do not like pizza so I don't know (lol).
Q: What is one item on your bucket list?
A: I want to go to Toronto and ride around the city while listening to Drake.
Q: What celebrity do most people say you look like?
A: I do not agree with this but Coi Leray.
