EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 14, 2023) – Howard University men's swimming & diving team cruised past Mount St. Mary's, 161-59, for its first win of the season at Emmitsburg, Md.
Third-year Bison
Tai Afrik (Holland, Mich.) led HU with a pair of individual victories in the 100-meter Free (52.73) and 200-meter Free (1:57.77).

Arion Solomon (Fairburn, Ga.), senior
Tristan Stevens (Chicago) and newcomer
Mason Green (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) took home gold in the 400-meter Free Relay, clocking in at 3:30.65.
Solomon and Stevens also won the 100-meter Fly (57.50) and 100-meter Back (58.04), respectively.

Mark-Anthony Thompson (Nassau, Bahamas) represented HU in the 400-meter Medley Relay, topping the event with a 3:49.15 mark.
Sophomore
Ty Triche (Humble, Texas) claimed a pair of wins in the 400-meter Free (4:20.09) and 800-meter Free (9:03.81).
Other notable performances include graduate
Luke-Kennedy Thompson (Nassau, Bahamas) winning the 400-meter IM (4:47.09) and second-year Bison
Taj Benton (Baltimore) earning first in the 50-meter Free (23.83).
On the board, junior
Jordan Walker (San Antonio) finished first in the 1-meter dive with a 239.10 score.
On Oct. 27, Howard returns home to face American. Meet time is set for 6 p.m., inside Burr Gym Pool.
