URBANA, Md. (March 20, 2022) – Howard University senior golfers
Gregory Odom (Memphis, Tenn.) and
Everett Whiten Jr. (Chesapeake, Va.) led the way at the Carpetbagger Classic, hosted by Colgate University. The two-day event (March 19-20) took place at the Worthington Manor Golf Club in Urbana, Md.
Both Bison finished top 10 in the individual standings.
Odom wrapped up the weekend tied for third, shooting even par both rounds (144, E), while Whitten placed tied for seventh after hitting 5-over par both days (149, +5).
Collectively, the Bison shot 34-over in 36 holes (610, +34).
Rhode Island (URI) won the event after shooting just 7-over (583, +7), 13 strokes better than Robert Morris (596, +20).
Individually, URI's Brandon Gillis and Fairleigh Dickinson's Jamie Julve tied for first place, registering 1-under in two rounds (143, -1).
On March 24-26, Howard travels to the West Coast for The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford University.
