Howard University women's basketball coach Ty Grace earned her 155th career win on Saturday as the Howard women's basketball team defeated Frostburg State 100-53 in Frostburg, MD.
Coach Grace is in her 10th season as a head coach and seventh as the head coach at Howard.
Coach Grace has recorded six winning seasons [New Haven (18-10), New Haven (26-6), Howard (16-13), Howard (18-13), Howard (16-15), Howard (15-4) as a head coach and three consecutive winning season dating back to the 2018-19 season.
The 2020-21 MEAC Coach of the Year led the Bison to a MEAC Northern Division title and a finals trip to the MEAC tournament after navigating through the protocols and procedures due to COVID-19 last season.
During the 2020-21 campaign, the Bison finished 15-4 overall and 10-2 in conference play. In addition, coach Grace's team took home player of the year (Jayla Thornton), rookie of the year (Anzhane' Hutton). Also receiving honors Guard Iyanna Warren (All-MEAC), Kaiya Creek (All-Rookie), Hutton (All-MEAC, All-Defensive, All-Rookie), Thornton (All-MEAC).
Coach Grace coached six 1,000 point scorers and is ten wins from her 100th win at Howard University.
