Men's Soccer Announces Venue/Time Change

Bison faces D.C. foe Colonials in Greene Stadium at 5 p.m.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Howard Men's Soccer announced the contest versus George Washington will now be played at Greene Stadium and scheduled for a 5 p.m. start. 

The Bison men's soccer is looking to improve to a 1-0-1 start. 


Series:  Colonials leads the series 6-2. First visit to Greene Stadium. 


Howard snapped a four-game losing streak to GW on October 15, 2019, defeating the Colonials 1-0 on the Mount Vernon Campus when Andre Gomez connected on his sixth goal of the season in the 57th minute. The Bison held on despite being outshot 20-7.

Howard's Duncan Dunkwu wasted no time knocking off the rust, recording a career-high three goals to earn a 3-3 draw with Monmouth in the season opener at Hesse Field, in the first game since November 13, 2019, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Emory Simon recorded two of his eight saves in overtime to seal the tie.

George Washington, 1-0-0

A pair of goals from Oscar Haynes Brown led GW men's soccer with a dominant 4-0 win over VMI on the Mount Vernon Campus.

UP NEXT: Howard welcomes A10 foe Duquesne University. The Dukes lead the series 2-0; this is their first visit to Greene Stadium.
