NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Howard's Seniors Midfielder Andres Gomez (Silver Spring, Md.) and Goalkeeper Carlos Caro (Silver Spring, Md.) received All-Sun Belt recognition announced by the league's annual awards. 

Gomez recorded a prolific season for the Bison recording eight goals and one assist for 19 total points. Gomez scored a season-high two goals versus Virginia Military Institute and a game-winner vs George Washington.

Caro anchored the Bison defense, he ranks third in Division I in saves per game (6.46) and tied for fifth in total saves (84). The Sun Belt Conference named Caro Goalkeeper of the Week for his shut-out performance versus Georgia Southern.

The Bison open up action in the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Wednesday as the third-seed, Howard's highest seed since joining the Sun Belt four years ago. HU will face six-seeded Appalachian State at 7 p.m. on ESPN+ in Boone, North Carolina.
