Gyau, @HowardMSoccer Add Depth to the 2018 Roster

Bison bolster defense with a pair of defenders while adding depth to the frontline

WASHINGTON (July 11, 2018) – Coach Phillip Gyau and the Howard University Men's Soccer program added three new pieces to its 2018 roster, featuring a pair of defenders and a solid wing forward.
 
"This is a very talented group that can help us win," said Gyau. "With the group we're bringing back and the way we played down the stretch, I think we're going to turn the corner this year."
 
This group joins a cast that played their best ball towards the end of the year, scoring in their final six matches while reaching the Sun Belt (SBC) Semifinals.
 
Here is more information on the three signees:

Ronald Little (Olney, Md.) - Forward/Wing
 
After being a three-year letterman at Sherwood High School (Olney, Md.), Little enters his first season where he was a First Team All-State Selection by United Soccer Coaches (USC) for Maryland. In his senior season, he guided the Olney Boys & Girls Community (OBGC) squad to the 2018 Maryland State Cup semifinals. According to Gotsoccer.com, OBGC finished No. 4 in the state and No. 17 in Region 1.
 
Jherson Machado (Bethesda, Md.) - Defense
 
Machado comes to Howard after competing with the Bethesda U18/19 Academy team. During his u16 year, the squad garnered a top 10 ranking in the nation. In 2014, the Maryland product participated in the Adidas International Training Program where he traveled and trained with Ajax in Amsterdam.
 
Vincent Turk (Las Vegas, Nev.) - Defense
 
Turk capped off his three-year career at Bishop Gorman High School (Las Vegas) by leading the club to a regional championship. The two-year captain also won the Gothia Cup in Gothensburg, Sweden, the largest and most international youth soccer tournament in the world. Currently, the Nevada native plays left back for Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club, who is ranked No. 1 in the state, No. 11 in the region, and No. 25 in the nation. In 2018, Turk led the team to state and regional titles while earning himself an opportunity to compete in Frisco, Texas for a National Championship.
