LANDOVER, Md. (February 17, 2018) – Coach
David Oliver and the Howard University Men's & Women's Track & Field teams competed in the 2018 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships. The three-day event took place at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, Md.
On the women's side, freshman
Destiny Stanford led the way with 13 points. The New Jersey native placed second in the women's mile run (5:02.80), scoring eight points, while taking fourth in the 3000-meter race (10:24.51), recording five more points.

Jasmine Hardy, sophomore
Sydney Benson, and freshman
Adia Starnes generated five points in the distance medley after finishing fifth overall (12:20.91).
In the field, senior
Cheyenne Bellerand produced five points in the women's shot put (13.79 meters) while sophomore
Mia Robinson added a point with her eighth-place finish in the pole vault.
The men's distance medley relay squad of senior
Mohamed Bah, juniors
Tariq Fullerton and
Kenneth Chigbue, and freshman
Anthony Gordon generated the Bison's lone point, placing eighth overall (10:20.62).
North Carolina A&T State repeated as men's & women's championships. As a result, the Aggies are the first MEAC school to repeat as champions in consecutive years on both the men's and women's side since Delaware State in 1986-87.
Coach Oliver and the Bison will have nearly a month to train until the spring season, which begins March 15-17 at the Charlotte 49er Invitational.
