TAMPA, Fla. (March 21, 2026) – Howard University men's track & field squad opened its 2026 outdoor season at the annual USF Alumni Invitational, hosted by the South Florida Bulls in Tampa, Fla.
Over the two-day event (March 20-21), HU saw four Bison place in the Top 5.
On the track, senior
Jorim Bangue (Yaounde, Cameroon) led the charge with a victory in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking in at 14.01.
Sophomores
Elijah Grant (Fort Mills, S.C.) and
Jayvian Greene (Gainesville, Fla.) competed in the 400-meter dash, earning third (46.25) and fourth (46.50), respectively.
In the field, DMV native sophomore
Drew Dillard (Silver Spring, Md.) took fourth in the high jump, leaping 2.05 meters (6'8.75").
HU gears up for a pair of meets: Raleigh Relays (March 26-28) and UCF Knights Invite (March 27-28).
