ORLANDO, Fla. & RALEIGH, N.C. (March 28, 2026) – Howard University men's track & field program competed in a pair of meets over the weekend: UCF Knights Invitational (March 27-28) and Raleigh Relays (March 26-28).
UCF KNIGHTS INVITE
In Orlando, fifth-year Bison
Sean Wray (Stafford, Va.) and sophomore
Drew Dillard (Silver Spring, Md.) led the way with a pair of victories. Wray took home gold in the triple jump (15.35 meters) while earning fourth overall in the long jump (7.22 meters). For Dillard, he won the high jump after leaping 2.15 meters.
On the track, sophomores
Elijah Grant (Fort Mill, S.C.) and
Jayvian Greene (Gainesville, Fla.) and junior
Emerson McKindra (Linden, N.J.) competed in the 400-meter dash, securing second (46.52), third (46.78) and fifth (47.04), respectively.
Senior
Jorim Bangue (Yaounde, Cameroon) and rookie
Jabari Dillard (Cross Hill, S.C.) took part in the 110-meter hurdles where they placed fourth (14.32) and sixth (15.17), respectively.
Other notable performances on the track included graduate
Abraham Evans (Virginia Beach, Va.) grabbing eighth overall in the 100-meter dash (10.49).
RALEIGH RELAYS
In Raleigh, freshman
Ashton Thomas (Greensboro, N.C.) and
Kobe Hutson (Bridgetown, Barbados) competed in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 1:52.20 and 1:55.18, respectively.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On April 2-4, Howard is set to head down to Austin, Texas for the annual Texas Relays.
