WASHINGTON (December 1, 2017) – Coach
Ron Davis and the Howard University Women's Bowling team roll into the their second Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division meet of the season, hosted by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The two-day tournament takes place at Millsboro Lanes in Millsboro, Del.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
Currently, the Bison (8-35, 1-7 MEAC) sit tied for fourth in the MEAC Northern Division standings and four matches back from the final playoff spot.
Saturday, Howard starts the weekend with five traditional matches. HU opens the tourney with Delaware State (DSU), followed by Coppin State (CSU) and Morgan State (MSU). Coach Davis' bunch closes the day against Maryland Eastern Shore.
LAST TIMEOUT
Last tournament (Nov. 17-19), the Bison rolled at the Hawk Classic where high roller
Sydney Reece dominated the lanes. The North Carolina native rolled two high games of 212 and 245 while averaging a 204.5 in five traditional matches. Junior
Joelle McLeod averaged a 160 and sophomore Téa Lewis competed in all five traditional matches.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
HU returns to the lanes Jan. 19-21 at the Kutztown Invitational, hosted by Kutztown University.
