WASHINGTON, D.C.— The Howard volleyball team returns to Burr Gymnasium to host Coppin State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) matchup on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 3 p.m.
The Bison (13-5) are coming off an impressive sweep of Morgan State on Thursday night in Baltimore. Junior Khaila Donaldson led the way with 13 kills, while senior Dominique Cleggett hit .750 (9-of-12). Seniors Katherine Broussard and Morgan Marlbrough had 12 digs apiece and sophomore Tamia Dockery tallied 27 assists.
Howard limited the Bears to a -.011 hitting mark and 18 kills. The victory pushed Howard to 3-0 in the MEAC and first-place in the Northern Division.
Through 18 outings, Howard is 6-3 in three-set matches and 6-0 in four sets. The team has only lost one set since opening league action.
The Eagles are looking for their first win of the season and bring a 0-16 record into Sunday's contest. CSU dropped five-set decisions to Norfolk State and Hampton last weekend to start conference play. The Bison swept the home-and-home series with the Eagles last year.
