Box Score WASHINGTON, DC --- Senior
Owyn Manson, in first game back from injury, scored the game winning goal as the Howard University women's soccer team won a hard fought match against visiting Robert Morris University, 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Greene Stadium. The victory comes after a close overtime loss on Friday to Wagner College, 3-2.
Manson missed the Lady Bison's last two games with a leg injury, but entered the game for Howard (2-2-1) for the first time with 22 minutes remaining in the first half. She would make the most of time back on the pitch in the second half as she took a right side pass from junior
Kelsi Bobbitt and punched in the deciding goal.
Howard defeated the Colonials (3-2-1) despite being outshot 19-6 during the game. Howard goalie
Kyra Dickinson made nine saves to earn her second shutout of the season.
The Lady Bison will begin a three-game road trip on Friday, September 13 when they travel north for a meeting with University of Maryland Baltimore County. First kick for that game is scheduled for 7:00 PM
