LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 14, 2026) – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) revealed its 2026 NCAA Division I All-Region Teams for the East where Howard University senior outfielder
Maryn Jordan (San Diego), the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Player of the Year, was acknowledged for her incredible season. The announcement came Thursday afternoon.
Jordan ranked among the nation's top sluggers, finishing top 10 in batting average (.475) and on-base percentage (.573). Saturday (May 9), she was named MEAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player after leading HU to back-to-back league titles.
The San Diego native became the third Bison in program history to win MEAC Player of the Year, joining
Camille Navarro (2021) and HU Hall of Famer
Courtney Young (2008).
Overall, the NFCA acknowledged 378 student-athletes from 154 programs.
NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2026 NFCA Division I All-America squads.
The 2026 NFCA Division I All-America teams, voted on by the NFCA DI All-American Committee, will be announced Wednesday, May 27.
Friday (May 15), HU meets No. 12 Duke in the NCAA Durham Region. First-pitch is slated for noon in Durham, N.C., live on the ACC Network.
