WASHINGTON (April 10, 2026) – The Howard University softball team travels to face Morgan State in a three-game series in Baltimore. The series begins Saturday (April 11) with a doubleheader scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., followed by a single game Sunday (April 12) at noon.

HOWARD
HU (18-13, 8-1 MEAC) looks to maintain momentum following another strong conference showing at North Carolina Central (April 3-4).
On April 6, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced its weekly softball honors, recognizing multiple Bison for standout performances.
Freshman
Aniyah Whipper (Elk Grove, Calif.) earned MEAC Player of the Week while fellow freshman
Amirah Lenon (Chandler, Ariz.) was named Rookie of the Week.
Whipper delivered a dominant performance in the series at North Carolina Central (NCCU), batting .875 with a 2.443 OPS, including a 1.625 slugging percentage. She tallied 12 RBIs, six runs scored, four doubles, two stolen bases and a triple.
Lenon added a .778 batting average with seven runs scored and a 1.578 OPS during the same stretch.
Senior
Julia Holt (Tucson, Ariz.) also earned honorable mention after posting a 0.00 ERA across 4.1 innings and recording her 200
th career strikeout.
MORGAN STATE
Morgan State (8-20, 5-7 MEAC) is coming off a three-game series against Delaware State (April 3-4) where the Lady Bears were swept in Dover. Morgan State dropped Friday's (April 3) doubleheader, 4-0 and 8-2, respectively, before falling in the series finale Saturday (April 4), 6-4.
Olivia Garner led the Lady Bears, offensively, highlighted by a strong performance in the series opener where she recorded three hits.
LAST TIMEOUT
On April 3, Howard continued its strong play with a dominant doubleheader sweep over NCCU in Cary, N.C., marking its third straight MEAC series sweep this season.
HU won game one in five innings, 11-0, followed by an 11-3 victory in the nightcap. In the opener, the Bison erupted for 11 runs on 14 hits, highlighted by a five-run second inning that broke the game open early.
Howard carried that momentum into game two, totaling 11 runs on 17 hits with multiple players recording multi-hit performances. The Bison used a big second inning to build control and added insurance runs late to secure the run-rule victory.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Howard returns to action Wednesday (April 15) with a road matchup at Big Ten opponent Maryland. First pitch is set for 6 p.m., in College Park, Md.
