BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (March 4, 2026) – The NEC uncovered its men's and women's golf weekly awards where Howard University swept both honors. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
 
Juniors Paris Fieldings (Chesapeake, Va.) and Francisco Perez grabbed the league's Golfers of the Week.
 
Fieldings posted a fourth-place finish at the Lady Bison Spring Invitational (March 2-3), shooting 11-over par (224). Overall, the Lady Bison placed runner-up during the two-day competition.
 
Perez claimed the Colin Montgomerie-HCU Invitational individual title (March 2-3), firing an astound 17-under (199). As a team, the Bison won the team title by 13 strokes over host Houston Christian (HCU).
 
Seniors Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) and Morgan Horrell (Dallas), junior Marlon Jones and sophomore Michael Perusse (Pearland, Texas) joined Fieldings and Perez on the NEC Prime Performers list.
 
The Lady Bison are set to participate in the Alabama State Spring Classic (March 9-10) while the men's squad goes to Urbana, Md., for the Carpetbagger Classic (March 21-22).
