WASHINGTON (March 27, 2026) – The Howard University softball team takes on South Carolina State (SCSU) in a three-game series at Nationals Youth Academy, beginning Saturday (March 28) with doubleheader at 1 p.m., followed by a seven-inning contest Sunday (March 29) at noon.

HOWARD
HU (12-13) looks to maintain momentum after a sweep at Delaware State (March 21-22).
On March 23, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its softball weekly award senior outfielder
Maryn Jordan (San Diego) took home the league's Player of the Week. Jordan dominated Delaware State, batting .750 with 12 hits, 11 RBIs, and a home run and now leads the MEAC with 29 hits.
SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
South Carolina State (9-8, 6-0 MEAC) swept Coppin State (March 21–22), extending its streak to six straight wins.
Lashea Morlu leads the Bulldogs with a .511 batting average, followed by Dallas Hill (.395).
LAST TIMEOUT
Howard softball swept Delaware State in a three-game MEAC series, outscoring the Hornets, 26-5.
The Bison opened with a 7-0 shutout behind Jordan's five RBIs and a complete-game effort from sophomore pitcher
Aiko Conaway (Haymarket, Va.).
Howard followed with a 10-1 run-rule win, recording 13 hits and a combined no-hitter in the circle.
The sweep was capped with a 9-4 victory, powered by early offense and a late surge.
Jordan led the weekend at the plate while graduate infielder
Taylor Ames-Alexander (Lancaster, S.C.) and junior infielder
Wisdom Colbert (Jacksonville, Fla.) added key contributions as Howard secured its second MEAC series win of the season.
