BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (March 23, 2026) – The NEC revealed its women's lacrosse weekly awards where Howard University freshman midfielder
Sophia Lima (Altadena, Calif.) won Co-Rookie of the Week. The announcement came Monday afternoon.
Saturday (March 21), Lima tallied a team-high four points (three goals & one assist) and three ground balls versus Le Moyne College. The California native also earned a spot on the NEC Prime Performers list.
This season, Lima leads the Bison with three assists.
Sophia Gouvieia (Stonehill College) shared NEC Co-Rookie of the Week with Lima.
Whitley Easton (Mercyhurst) grabbed NEC Player of the Week while Sydney Mulroony (Wagner College) claimed the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
Howard will look to bounce back on the road as it travels to face Delaware State Wednesday, March 25. Opening draw is set for 7 p.m.
