NORFOLK, Va. (March 23, 2026) – The MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) unveiled its softball weekly honors where Howard University senior outfielder
Maryn Jordan (San Diego) took home the league's Player of the Week. The announcement came Monday afternoon.
In the season sweep at Delaware State (March 21-22), Jordan batted .750 with a 1.250 slugging percentage while collecting 12 hits, 11 RBIs, eight runs scored, a triple and homer. She opened the series with five RBIs, including a three-run blast.
Currently, Jordan tops the MEAC with 29 hits.
Sophomore pitcher
Aiko Conaway (Haymarket, Va.) and freshman outfielder
Na'khia Lee (La Mesa, Calif.) received honorable mention after their efforts against the Hornets.
South Carolina State's Lanasia Sanders earned MEAC Rookie of the Week while Norfolk State's Maddy Morris received Pitcher of the Week.
Howard returns home to host South Carolina State Saturday (March 28) in a doubleheader at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., followed by the series finale Sunday (March 29) at noon. The three-game series takes place at the Nationals Youth Academy.
