NORFOLK, Va. (March 2, 2026) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its men's basketball weekly accolades where Howard University graduate guard
Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) took home the league's Player of the Week. The announcement came Monday afternoon.
In Saturday's (Feb. 28) big road win at Morgan State (MSU), Harris notched a double-double (22 points &11 boards) while adding three assists and a block. From the field, he shot 58-percent (7-of-12) against the Bears.
Currently, Harris leads the league in scoring (17.3 ppg) and rebounding (6.7 rpg) while ranking among the nation leaders in free throws made (40
th in the country) and free throw attempts (42
nd in the country).
Senior guard
Ose Okojie (Brampton, Canada) received honorable mention after recording 20 points, six boards, three steals and a pair of assists in the road victory at MSU.
North Carolina Central forward Kelechi Okworogwo earned MEAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Howard faces rival Norfolk State Thursday (March 5) at 8 p.m., inside Joseph G. Echols Gymnasium. A win would give HU the outright regular season title and a first-round bye in the MEAC Tournament, March 11-14, at the Norfolk Scope Arena.
