INDIANAPOLIS (April 5, 2026) – Graduate guard
Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) represented Howard University in the fifth annual HBCU All-Star Game, which was held at the prestigious Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis. The event aired on the Wish Television Network and BET Fast Channel.
Harris became the fifth Bison to compete in the annual evening, joining former All-MEAC selections
Randall Brumant,
Kyle Foster and
Seth Towns and head coach
Kenneth Blakeney.
This year, Towns will be part of Team Bob Dandridge, comprising of players from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and independent HBCUs Hampton University and Tennessee State University.
Team Dandridge squares off against Team Sam Jones, consisting of players from the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).
Recently, Harris won the Nolan Richardson award, presented annually to a division I player who is the heart and soul of his team and a leader on and off the court.
This season, Harris, who was recently named to the BOXTOROW HBCU All-American First Team, became the second straight Bison (eight overall) to win MEAC Player of the Year after leading the conference in scoring (17.4 ppg) and rebounding (6.7 rpg). Nationally, he finished the regular season among the nation leaders in free throw attempts (52
nd) and free throws made (49
th).
This historic and very exciting celebration of Black College Basketball at the highest level will showcase the best HBCU players in the country. Through its connections and events, HBCU All-Stars aims to showcase The Best in Black College Basketball and bring much needed exposure, visibility and recognition to outstanding, talented and hard-working HBCU student-athletes and brilliant coaches.
Howard looks to build on this year's success for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.
