CLEMSON, S.C. & PHILADELPHIA (January 31, 2026) – Howard University men's and women's track & field program continued its indoor season with meets at the Penn Invitational (Jan. 30), hosted by the Quakers, and the Bob Pollock Invitational (Jan. 30-31), hosted by the Clemson Tigers.

On the women's side, junior sprinter
Yahnari Lyons (Hampton, Ga.) finished fourth overall in the 200-meter dash with a new school record (23.43).
In the field, senior
Kelis Armstrong (Plano, Texas) placed runner-up in the triple jump after resetting the program benchmark (12.74 meters).
For the men, reigning MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Field Athlete of the Week fifth-year Bison
Sean Wray (Stafford, Va.) took seventh (14.65 meters) and ninth (7.13 meters), respectively, in the triple jump and long jump.
On the track, rookie
Armond Boulware (Chicago) competed in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 21.68.
PENN INVITATIONAL
In Philly (Philadelphia), senior
Justin Watterson (Las Vegas) won the 60-meter hurdles with an 8.02 time.
In the field, fellow classmate
Temi Banwo (Allen, Texas) earned gold in the weight throw after tossing over 57 feet (17.44 meters).
