NORFOLK, Va. (January 28, 2026) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its men's track & field weekly honors where Howard University standout
Sean Wray (Stafford, Va.) claimed the league's Field Athlete of the Week. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
Wray earned third place in the triple jump at the 2026 Penn 10 Elite (Jan. 24), leaping 14.94 meters, which ranks second in the MEAC this season.
Freshman
Ashton Thomas (Greensboro, N.C.) received honorable mention after finishing seventh in the 800-meter run, setting a school record (1:51.07), which tops the conference.
North Carolina Central sophomore Zion Amadi was selected MEAC Track Athlete of the Week.
HU gears up for a pair of meets: Penn Invitational (Jan. 30), hosted by the Quakers, and Bob Pollock Invitational (Jan. 30-31), hosted by the Clemson Tigers.
