PHILADELPHIA (January 24, 2026) – Howard University men's track & field program returned to Philadelphia for the Penn 10 Elite, hosted by the Quakers.
Freshman
Ashton Thomas (Greensboro, N.C.) highlighted the weekend, setting a new school record in the 800-meter run with a 1:51.07 mark. The Tar Heel native placed seventh overall in the race.
Senior
Jorim Bangue (Yaounde, Cameroon) and sophomore
Drew Dillard (Silver Spring, Md.) competed in the 60-meter hurdles, grabbing third (7.94) and fifth (7.97), respectively.
Other notable performances on the track included graduate
Abraham Evans (Virginia Beach, Va.) taking eighth place in the 60-meter dash, clocking in at 6.96.
In the field, fifth-year Bison
Sean Wray (Stafford, Va.) took silver and bronze, respectively, in the long jump (7.22 meters) and triple jump (14.73 meters).
On Jan. 30, HU returns to the City for the Brother Love (Philadelphia) for the Penn Invitational, hosted by the Quakers.
