NORFOLK, Va. (January 19, 2026) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its men's basketball weekly awards where Howard University senior guard
Ose Okojie (Brampton, Canada) was selected Player of the Week. The announcement came Monday afternoon.
Okojie averaged 17. 5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in the victories over Delaware State (Jan. 12) and North Carolina Central (Jan. 17). In the two-game span, he shot an impressive 67-percent (14-of-21) from the field, including 75-percent (3-of-4) from downtown.
This season, Okojie is tied for seventh in the MEAC with 1.4 steals per game.
Junior guard
Cedric Taylor III (Atlanta) received honorable mention after averaging 16.0 points, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals against the Hornets and Eagles.
North Carolina Central senior forward Khouri Carvey earned MEAC Defensive Player of the Week while South Carolina State freshman guard Noah Treadwell took home the league's Rookie of the Week.
Howard hosts Morgan State Saturday (Jan. 24) at 6 p.m., inside Burr Gymnasium.
