KOHLER, Wis. (May 7, 2025) – Howard University women's golf team saw its comeback bid fall short at the PGA Works Collegiate Championships (PWCC), losing to rival North Carolina A&T State (NCAT) by one stroke. The three-day event (May 5-7) was held at the Whistling Straits – Irish Course (par-72, 6,709 yards) in Kohler, Wis.
Overall, the Bison shot 71-over par (935), including a 323 (+35) in the last round, and finished runner-up.
All-NEC First Team selection junior
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) led the charge, firing 7-over par (79) on Day Three. In 54 holes, she recorded 15-over par (231).
Sophomore
Emily Mayne (Kingston, Jamaica) tied for fourth overall, shooting 16-over par (232) in three rounds of action.
Senior
Kendall Jackson (Pearland, Texas) tied for eighth place after posting a 236 (+20) during the tourney.
Junior
Morgan Horrell (Dallas) rounded out the Bison, tying for 11
th place (237, +21).
NCAT's Ekaterina Prokhorova led the tournament from start-to-finish, registering 10-over par (226) in three days. Fellow Aggie Polina Marina finished runner-up (229, +13), three strokes behind Prokhorova.
