ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (April 17, 2026) – Howard University women's golf team leads after Day One of the NEC Championships, holding a two-stroke advantage after 18 holes of action. The tournament is held at the Turf Valley Resort (par-71, 5,980 yards) in Ellicott City, Md.
HU shot 22-over par (306) after Day One, two strokes better than FDU (308, +24).
Senior
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) leads the field, shooting even par (71) while taking a three-stroke cushion into the second round.
Reigning NEC Player of the Year junior
Paris Fieldings (Chesapeake, Va.) sits in fifth place, firing five-over par (76), while freshman
Mia Melendez (Ann Arbor, Mich.) rounds out the top 10, tying for eighth overall.
Kashika Misra (FDU) stands in second place (74, +3), followed by Lauren Iannetta (Mercyhurst) and Robbin Zetrouer (Saint Francis) each tied for third on the individual leaderboard (75, +4).
