KOHLER, Wis. (May 5, 2025) – Howard University women's golf team is tied for first after round one of the PGA Works Collegiate Championships (PWCC), held at the Whistling Straits – Irish Course (par-72, 6,709 yards) in Kohler, Wis.
Collectively, the Bison shot 14-over par (302) with three golfers sitting in the top 10.
Second-year Bison
Emily Mayne (Kingston, Jamaica) led the charge, shooting even par (72) while holding second in the player leaderboard.
Junior
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles), All-NEC First Team selection, is tied for fourth overall, recording 2-over par (74) with three birdies.
Senior
Kendall Jackson (Pearland, Texas), a four-time All-NEC honoree, is tied for eighth place after firing 3-over par (75).
HU shares the top spot with rival North Carolina A&T State (NCAT).
Individually, NCAT's Ekaterina Prohorova has a one stroke lead over Mayne after registering 1-under par (71) in 18 holes of action.
Howard continues with round two of the PWCC Tuesday (May 6), beginning at 8:30 a.m. (ET) / 7:30 a.m. (CT).
