KOHLER, Wis. (May 6, 2025) – Howard University women's golf team dropped to second place after round two of the PGA Works Collegiate Championships (PWCC), held at the Whistling Straits – Straits Course (par-72, 6,709 yards) in Kohler, Wis.
On Day Two, the Bison shot over 22-over par (310) with two golfers sitting in the top 10. After two rounds, HU fired 56-over par (612) and trails rival North Carolina A&T State (NCAT) by 15 strokes (597, +21).
Sophomore
Emily Mayne (Kingston, Jamaica) continues to spearhead the Bison, shooting 76 (+4) on the afternoon. In two rounds, she posted a 148 (+4) and holds third overall.
All-NEC First Team selection
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) produced a 78 (+6), including back-to-back birdies on holes one and two. Currently, the Los Angeles native is 8-over par (152) while tying for fifth place.
Senior
Kendall Jackson (Pearland, Texas) racked up five birdies in round two, but also had three double bogies. The Texas native finished 9-over par (81) and tied for 16
th place in the individual leaderboard (156, +12).
Third-year Bison
Morgan Horrell (Dallas) notched 3-over par (75) in round two, including three birdies. After two days, the Dallas product has shot 157 (+13) while tying for 19
th place.
Tuesday, the Aggies shot an impressive 7-over par (295) and took sole possession of first place with one round remaining.
Individually, NCAT's Ekaterina Prokhorova leads the pack in back-to-back days after firing 1-over par (73) on Day Two. She has shot even par (144) after 36 holes of play. Fellow Aggie Polina Marina sits one stroke back (145, +1) from Prokhorova after recording an incredible 4-under par (68) performance Wednesday.
Howard wraps up the tourney with round three of the PWCC Wednesday (May 7), beginning at 8:30 a.m. (ET) / 7:30 a.m. (CT).
