CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (May 5, 2025) – Howard University sophomore
Paris Fieldings (Chesapeake, Va.) is tied for fifth overall in the individual leaderboard at the NCAA Charlottesville Regional, held at the Birdwood Golf Club (par-71, 6,365 yards) in Charlottesville, Va.
After 18 holes, the NEC Player of the Year shot 6-over par (77) with one birdie on hole two. The Virginia native is tied with UNCW's Hannah Altman.
Maryland's Nicha Kanpai holds the top spot after Day One, firing 1-under par (70) with a seven-stroke lead over Fieldings.
Clemson's Melena Barrientos is two strokes behind Kanpai (72, +1), followed by Charlotte's Pimchompoo Chiaisilprungruang (73, +2).
Isabella Rawl (Clemson) rounds out the individual golfers, posting a 75 (+4) while sitting fourth overall.
Fieldings continues with round two Tuesday (May 6), beginning with a 9:50 a.m., shotgun start time.
