COLLEGE PARK, Md. (April 7, 2025) – Howard University women's golf team wrapped up its regular season at the inaugural Terps Invitational, hosted by Maryland. The two-day (April 6-7), 54-hole tournament took place at the University of Maryland Golf Course (par-72, 6,279 yards) in College Park, Md.
Rookie
Laniah Moffett (Waterbury, Conn.) led the charge, shooting 11-over par (227) while tying for 35
th place in the player leaderboard.
Sophomore
Sydnee Gaines (Middle River, Md.) made her season debut, posting a 245 (+29) in 54 holes of action.
Freshman
Victoriah Kuranga (Atlanta) fired 34-over par (250) while senior golfer
Makenna Rodriguez (Delray Beach, Fla.) made her first appearance this season, registering 47-over par (263).
Collectively, the Bison shot 985 (+121) and finished 14
th overall.
Michigan won the 2025 Terps Invitational, shooting 13-over par (877). High Point earned second place in the event (884, +20).
Delaware's Alisa Khokhlova won the individual medal with a 2-under par (214) performance, edging out Harvard's Vanessa Zhang by one stroke (215, -1).
Howard will compete in the NEC (Northeast Conference) Championship in Williamsburg, Va., at the Kingsmill Resort Plantation Course (April 11-13).
