NORFOLK, Va. (April 25, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) unveiled its tennis all-academic team where Howard University saw a league-leading 15 Bison make the team. The announcement came Tuesday (April 22).
 
MEAC sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average, along with transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year, are eligible for All-Academic accolades.
 
Among the recipients included Sifa Butcher (Pembroke Pines, Fla.), Hanna Dessie (Los Angeles), Marcel Dawson (Columbus, Ga.), Daniel Dunac (Washington), Jordan Grayson (Gaithersburg, Md.), Dana Hall (Miami), Imani Jean (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Kendrick Lash (Winston-Salem, N.C.), Sofia Lindholm (Sarasota, Fla.), Michael Major Jr (Nassau, Bahamas), Kaosie Nwokedi (Charlotte, N.C.), Lauren Oliver (Winston-Salem, N.C.), Nadia Pegram (Naples, Fla.), Selah Stibbins (Minneapolis) and Mitchell Yon (Queens, N.Y.).
 
Collectively, 71 student-athletes from the conference's eight institutions achieved academic excellence during the 2024-25 academic year.
 
Howard Director of Tennis Nicholas Askew and Associate Head Coach Zach Tobias look to reload for the upcoming 2026 campaign in the program's pursuit for another MEAC title.
