WASHINGTON (April 23, 2025) - Howard University men's and women's track and field teams will compete up north in Philadelphia this weekend (April 24-26) at the prestigious Penn Relays, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) Quakers. The three-day event will take place at Franklin Field on UPenn's campus (235 S 33rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19104).

The competition will commence Thursday (April 24) at noon in the field where lone Bison graduate
Nneka Ezeama (Smithfield, R.I.) will be set to compete in the women's hammer throw championship. The first day of competition wraps up on the track at 6:05 p.m., with graduate
Noah Langford (Virginia Beach, Va.) running in the men's 400-meter hurdles championship.

An eventful Friday (April 25) begins in the field at noon with juniors
Ija Mumford (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and
Kelis Armstrong (Plano, Texas) competing in the women's long jump. The program will wrap up the second day of competition on the track at 6:10 p.m., with freshmen
Cenaiya Billups (Denver) and
Tiffany Mugubi (Houston), sophomore
Mackenzie Robinson (Ypsilanti, Mich.), and junior
Zoe Turner (Mableton, Ga.) competing in the College Women's Sprint Medley Championship of America.

The weekend in Philadelphia winds down Saturday (April 26) with the program competing in the men's long jump, women's shot put and finally men's triple jump. All events listed for Saturday are championship rounds with the triple jump championship completing the challenge at UPenn for HU around 3:30 p.m.

Bison Track & Field traveled south to Florida and just up the road to Baltimore this past holiday weekend (April 18-19) for the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational, hosted by the Florida Gators, and the Morgan Legacy, hosted by the Morgan State Bears.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Following the stop in Philly, the program will gear up for the Aggie Classic (May 2-3), hosted by fellow HBCU North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, N.C. This will the final outdoor meet ahead of the 2025 MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Outdoor Championships (May 15-17) in Norfolk, Va.
