Track & Field Continues Outdoor Season at the Duke Invitational

Bison gear up for a meet in the Tar Heel State

WASHINGTON (April 10, 2025) - Howard University men's and women's track & field teams travel down south to Durham, N.C., for the annual Duke Invitational, hosted by the Blue Devils. The three-day outdoor meet is slated to take place from Thursday (April 10) through Saturday (April 12) at Morris Williams Stadium on Duke's campus (81-99 Science Dr, Durham, NC 27708).

MEET PREVIEW
 
The action at Duke begins in the afternoon Thursday (April 10) with the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon. Field events Thursday begins with the women's hammer throw at 2 p.m.
 
Friday's (April 11) slate of events commences bright and early at 9:30 a.m., with the women's discus. The Bison will take part in an action-packed day, featuring events such as 100 and 110-meter hurdle prelims, women's and men's high jump and more.
 
Saturday's (April 12) action wraps up the meet with men's and women's triple jump, 100-meter run finals and finally 4x400-meter relays, which will wrap up the trip to Durham a little after 5 p.m.
 
LAST TIMEOUT
 
On April 5, the program came off a strong showing in D.C., co-hosting the third annual Bison Class with Gallaudet University. Recognitions for multiple senior Bison fueled several first-place finishes, carrying the momentum into the weekend.
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
 
Following the stop in Durham, the Bison will travel further south to the University of Florida for the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational, hosted by the Gators (April 18-19). This will be the program's second stint in Florida this outdoor season.
