BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (March 31, 2025) – The Northeast Conference (NEC) uncovered its women's lacrosse weekly accolades where Howard University freshman midfielder
Leah Croom (Miami) won the league's Co-Rookie of the Week. The announcement came Monday afternoon.
In a two-match span, Croom racked up eight ground balls, six points (six goals) and a pair of draw controls against Delaware State (DSU) and Central Connecticut State (CCSU). In Wednesday's (March 26) historic win over DSU, the Miami native produced six ground balls and two goals. Three days later (March 29), she notched four goals, two ground balls and two draw controls versus CCSU.
This season, Croom ranks second on the team in total points (17) and draw controls (13).
Croom shared NEC Rookie of the Week with FDU's Adriana Mavlios.
Mercyhurst junior Whittley Easton was selected NEC Player of the Week while FDU sophomore Nora Codianni claimed Defensive Player of the Week.
On April 5, Howard goes to North Easton, Mass., to face Stonehill. Match time is slated for noon.
