WASHINGTON (March 25, 2025) – The Howard University women's lacrosse team returns home to Greene Stadium for a Northeast Conference (NEC) showdown against Delaware State. The matchup is set for Wednesday (March 26) at 4 p.m., with live coverage available on NEC Front Row.

HOWARD
 
Howard (0-8, 0-2 NEC) is coming off a hard-fought 17-8 road loss at FDU Saturday (March 22). The Bison showed resilience in the second half, outscoring the Knights, 5-3, in the third quarter, but could not complete the comeback.
 
Graduate attacker Sawyer Walker (Magnolia, Del.) led the charge with four goals and eight draw controls. Freshman midfielder Leah Croom (Miami) contributed five draw controls while junior Chase Coleman (Houston) added two draw controls and two ground balls.
 
Defensively, freshman goalie Madeline Willocks (Freeport, N.Y.) registered nine saves in the cage.
 
The Bison will look to carry their second-half momentum into their home matchup against the Hornets.
 
DELAWARE STATE
 
Delaware State (1-7, 0-2 NEC) enters the contest after a challenging nonconference slate, looking to bounce back in NEC action. The Hornets are led by a balanced offensive unit and a determined defensive effort.
