MATCHUP PREVIEW
HOWARD
Howard (0-7, 0-1 NEC) enters the contest following a hard-fought 15-13 loss at Mercyhurst (March 15). Despite the setback, the Bison posted their best offensive outing of the season, scoring a season-high 13 goals.
Graduate attacker
Sawyer Walker (Magnolia, Del.) led the Bison attack with 10 draw controls and five goals while freshman
Leah Croom (Miami) contributed two goals, one assist and a draw control. Senior midfielder
Maya Rhymes (Coatesville, Pa.) and rookie attacker
Kyla Newkirk (Durham, N.C.) also found the back of the net.
Howard went toe-to-toe with Mercyhurst in the first half, tying the game at halftime, 9-9, but a strong third quarter from the Lakers created separation. The Bison will look to carry their offensive momentum into their matchup against FDU.
FDU
FDU (1-7, 0-0 NEC) enters conference play aiming to snap a losing streak after a tough non- conference schedule. The Knights' recent lose came against LIU Sharks February, 10-7.
Competing in the NEC, FDU will look to control the tempo at home and challenge Howard's defense with its balanced offensive attack.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Howard returns home for a conference matchup against Delaware State Wednesday (March 26). Game time is set for 4 p.m. at Greene Stadium with live coverage on NEC Front Row.
